Every SatoriCamp journey is built around people. Before anything else, we work to bring together travelers who share similar interests and are at a similar point in life. The result is a group that feels right from the very first day.
Browse our journeys in Japan and find the one that speaks to you. Each is built around a region, a pace, and a particular kind of experience.
Send us your request. Through a short onboarding, we get to know your travel style, your interests, and what you’re hoping for. From there, we match you with a small group of 8 to 12 like-minded travelers at a similar stage of life.
Once your group comes together, we guide you through booking. A deposit secures your place, and the balance is due closer to departure. Every logistic is handled, so the only thing left to do is look forward to it.
Arrive as part of a carefully matched group, move through a journey of wellness and culture, and leave with friendships that carry on in our alumni community.
A SatoriCamp journey begins long before you land in Japan. We believe the group shapes the depth of the experience, so we never place people into a journey at random. Here is how we get it right.
Before we confirm your place, we take time to speak with you one to one. It is a relaxed conversation, and it helps us understand:
This is not an interview. It is a human conversation, and its only purpose is to make sure the journey is genuinely right for you.
Using what we learn, we assemble each group with care. We look for alignment in:
The goal is simple. From the moment you arrive, you feel at ease and you belong.
A bilingual community leader travels with every group.
Their role is to:
With that support in place, you can fully relax and stay present with the journey itself.
We cap each journey at 8 to 12 travelers. Small groups keep the experience intimate, unhurried, and personal.
We do not grow by adding more people to a journey. We grow by protecting what makes each one good.
Most guests arrive on their own and leave with connections that last well beyond the trip.
Our journeys are made for travelers aged 40 to 60 who want mindful travel in Japan, and who value shared experiences and personal growth alongside like-minded people.
The price covers accommodation, daily wellness sessions such as yoga or meditation, cultural activities, group transfers within the itinerary, most meals, and guided support throughout. International flights and travel insurance are not included.
Each group is kept small, between 8 and 12 travelers. A journey is only confirmed once the group is complete, so by the time you join, your group is already set.
We get to know you during onboarding, then hold a personal discovery call with you before your place is confirmed. This lets us build each group with a good balance of age, interests, and outlook.
Yes. If you would prefer to travel privately, or want a journey built entirely around your own pace and interests, we design tailor-made wellness journeys for individuals, couples, and private groups. Share your trip idea with us and we will shape a journey around it.
No. Our journeys are designed so anyone can join, whatever your background. You engage at your own level, with no pressure to keep pace.
Most journeys are based in traditional Japanese ryokan. On some, we stay in hotels, typically four-star or higher.
Once your place is confirmed and your deposit is paid, the following applies if you need to cancel:
Most journeys involve light to moderate activity, such as walking, yoga, or gentle hiking. You should be comfortable moving each day, but you do not need to be an athlete. Whenever an activity feels demanding, there is always a gentler option.
You are very welcome to join solo, and many of our travelers do. You arrive on your own and leave with new friends. If you bring a friend, you both receive a 10% discount.
