Where you stay

We stay in three different places throughout the journey.
On the first night, we stay at a shukubo, traditional temple lodging where you can experience the quiet rhythm of temple life. You will also enjoy shojin ryori for dinner, simple Buddhist temple cuisine prepared with seasonal, plant-based ingredients.

Next, we move to a Japanese-style ryokan with onsen, a classic form of accommodation known for tatami rooms, warm hospitality, and soothing hot spring baths. It’s a place to unwind, enjoy seasonal meals, and sink into the calming flow of hot spring waters.

For the final two nights, we stay at a seaside hotel, offering gentle ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere to reflect on the journey before moving forward.

*Accommodation photos are representative. Actual rooms may vary, but we ensure all stays are of the same comfort and standard.

Best Time to Visit

A Journey Shared with Purpose

This is not a packaged tour. The people you travel with are a big part of the journey – fellow travelers who value meaningful, mindful experiences. Your SatoriCamp community leader supports the group throughout, creating space for shared moments rather than passive sightseeing.

We form each group with care, considering preferences, age, and personality. You don’t need to be a Zen master to join – just a sincere interest and respect for Zen Buddhism and Japanese culture.
